Wednesday 23th. Francisco Chinesta: "From real-time simulación to structural dynamics hybrid twin"

Francisco Chinesta and his work 

Francisco Chinesta is currently full Professor of computational physics at ENSAM ParisTech(Paris, France) and PIMM DYSCO researcher and before Professor at Ecole Centrale de Nantes and ICI researcher. He was AIRBUS Group chair professor (2008-2012) and he is at present ESI Group chair professor (2013-2019). He is fellow of the “Institut Universitaire de France” (2011), Fellow of the Spanish Royal Academy of Engineering (elected in 2013). He received many scientific awards. He is author of more than 220 papers in peer-reviewed international journals. He is president of the French association of computational mechanics (CSMA) and director of the CNRS research group (GdR) on model order reduction techniques for engineering sciences. He is editor and associate editor of many journals and scientist director of the ESI group.

 

Friday 25th. José Romo: "Diseño paramétrico su aplicación al proyecto de puentes"

José Romo is CEO of FHECOR Consulting Engineersbridge and structural designer and lecturer at UPM. He is an important member of numerous structural associations as: fellow at IstructEIABSE (International Association of Bridges and Structural Engineering) Member, ACHE (Technical Scientific Association of Structural Concrete) Member, ATPYC Member, FIB Member, Member of the Civil Engineers Association and the Colegio de Ingenieros de Caminos, Canales y Puertos. José Romo has held positions of responsibility in some of these associations as: Commission of Conceptual Design Vice Chair and Vice Chairman (1999-2003) and President (2003-2009) of Spanish Group IABSE and coordinator of Work Groups “Concrete Structures located in Seismic areas” and "Strut and Ties" commissioned by ACHE, Vice-Chairman of ACHE (2006-2008). He was a member of the Spanish Group to following up Eurocode 2 (1994-1996) and Eurocode 3 (1995) for Concrete Structures and was reporter of the Structural Concrete Instruction EHE for the Spanish Ministry of Public Works (1994-1998).
