Dr. Virginia Sanz Motilva completed her residency at the Dermatology Service of the University Hospital “12 de Octubre” in Madrid, Spain. Her interest in oncology dermatology led her to a stay at the prestigious Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, NY-USA, where she completed her specific training in skin reactions secondary to cancer therapies.
Author of more than a dozen of international scientific articles, as well as 3 book chapters, Dr. Sanz is a regular speaker at conferences at the international level.
She is a member of the Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, of the Spanish Melanoma Group (GEM), as well as the Spanish Group of Dermatology, Aesthetics and Therapeutics (GEDET).
She is close to the defense of her doctoral studies at the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain, in relation to melanoma genetics.
Currently, Dr. Sanz is working in the Dr Sorní Dermatology Clinic and in the Dermatology Service of the Hospital Manises, Valencia (Spain) alternating her work in general dermatology with dermatology specifically aimed at caring for cancer patients and patients with inflammatory skin diseases. She coordinates the Phototherapy Unit of said hospital and co-coordinates the Inflammatory Pathology Unit where she treats patients with atopic dermatitis, psoriasis and urticaria.
