ISDMM11 is the fifth international meeting devoted to Mechanics of Material Forces, following the workshops held at Kaiserslautern (2003), Symi (2005), Aussois (2007) and Trento (2009), and will be held in the city of Seville, Spain, from June 27 to July 1, 2011. The Symposium is intended to bring together researchers in the areas of the mechanics of defects, in a broad sense: cracks, dislocations, inclusions, precipitates, phase boundaries, and shape optimization.
