Integrating factors and generalized Schrodinger flows

We will present a joint work with C. Kenig, G. Ponce and C. Rolvung on the initial value problem associated to variable coefficient Schrodinger operators which are not necesssarily elliptic. The key point is to construct an integrating factor to avoid the first order terms using a nonstandard pseudodifferential calculus. Applications to nonlinear equations will also be given.
