Getting to Seville

Seville is easy to reach from the main Spanish cities. Seville has an international airport  (Seville-San Pablo Airport) and a main train station (Sevilla-Santa Justa) with a fast-track railway connecting Seville with Madrid as well as many other important cities in Spain.

Airport
Seville-San Pablo Airport is about 10 km from the city center. The most convenient ways to get to Seville are either by bus or by taxi.

By bus: for timetable, stops and prices you can follow this link (the page is in Spanish but it has an access to the English version at the up-right corner).  The final stop of this bus is in" Prado de San Sebastián". Once in Prado de San Sebastián you can take local bus number 1 if you are staying at AC Hotel or Student dorm Rector Estanislao del Campo, or number 34 if you are staying at Student dorm Hernando Colón or Al-Ándalus Hotel.

By taxi: there are usually plenty of taxis at the exit doors of the airport. They keep an order so you need to go to the taxi queue and stand for a taxi. There are two different fixed fares for a taxi from the airport to any point within the limits of Seville and vice versa:

Fare 1: 19.73 Euro (from Monday to Friday, 7:00 to 21:00).

Fare 2: 22 Euro (from 21:00 to 07:00; Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays).

Train
Seville has good rail links to Barcelona, Cádiz, Córdoba, Jaén, Jerez de la Frontera, Granada, Huelva, Madrid, and Málaga. The fast–track AVE railway line provides a 2h 30min connection to Madrid every hour. For more information you can go to the train company web page http://horarios.renfe.es/hir/ingles.html#

Sevilla–Santa Justa train station is connected to the city center by local bus lines C1, C2 and 32. Orange painted city buses (new buses are painted red) are the predominant public transportation.
Information about bus lines at Transportes Urbanos de Sevilla (TUSSAM) Tel: 954 420 011 or at their web page http://www.tussam.es/.

Intercity busses
There are two bus stations with bus services to most of the main cities in Spain. Prado de San Sebastián bus station Tel: 954 417 111. Plaza de Armas bus station Tel: 954 908 040. The cheapest way to get from Madrid to Seville is by intercity bus Socibus. For more info visit http://www.socibus.es/.

Local busses
Orange painted city buses (new buses are painted red) are the predominant public transportation.
Information about bus lines at Transportes Urbanos de Sevilla (TUSSAM) Tel: 954 420 011 or at their web page http://www.tussam.es/. You can get a one trip ticket (1,20 Euro) directly from the driver but it is cheaper if you buy a voucher. The voucher is called "Tarjeta de viajes de TUSSAM" (shaped as a credit card) which you can buy at most newspaper selling stands. It costs 1,50 Euros but you need to add a minimum of 10 trip tickets which cost 0,6 or 0,7 each depending on the modality of the ticket: either with no tranfer posibilities or with the possibility of tranfer to other busses within an hour after use. Once you have one of these cards you can refill it by buying at least 10 trips at the same newspaper selling stands. Differently to many other places in the world, when you get into the bus you HAVE TO do it through the driver door. and either buy your ticker or use your "tarjeta" right after getting into the bus. You can access to more information here.

Taxi
A usual taxi fare from north to south of the city center is around 6 Euros. (Radio–Taxi Giralda Tel: 954 675 555; – Radio–Taxi Tel: 954 580 000; –Tele–Taxi — Tel: 954 622 222).
