Following a series of periodical scientific meetings, already celebrated in four previous occasions, (Miraflores de la Sierra-Madrid 2002, Tarragona 2004, Valencia 2007 and Sevilla 2011), the Writing Team of CIL XVIII/2 and 3 (Corpus Inscriptionum Latinarum, volumes that will include the updated edition and comment of the complete Latin Epigraphic Poetry from Hispania and Gaul), the 5th International Meeting on Epigraphic Poetry shall take place now. The main objective of such meeting will be to put ideas in common and to inform the scientific community on the results of the researches carried out by the different project members, as well as by all the researchers, local or foreign, who address this same line of research. Likewise, and as the main activity, we expect the presentation of the volume XVIII/2 of CIL, since we are working at the moment in its final phase of layout and revision.
The celebration of this 5th Meeting is essential so as to keep advancing and spreading the results of our worldwide unique research to the international scientific community, so that we can discuss all the news related to Latin epigraphic poetry.
