The College of Biology and the College of Education Science, of the University of Seville, announce the First International Congress on University Teaching Innovation in Natural History. This event is pioneer in Europe in relation to university courses classically considered as “boot sciences” such as Zoology, Botany, Geology, Ecology, Marine Biology, Ethology, and related sciences such as Wildlife Management, Veterinary, etc.

In Europe, universities and particularly colleges of Biology and other Natural History sciences, are facing a critical and tense situation as a consequence of implementation of the European Space for Higher Teaching Education. This scenario should be seen not as a problem but instead it should be perceived as an opportunity to initiate gradual and deep changes (to evolve!) in our current teaching methodologies towards new teaching standars more focussed on the formation of the student

- Know and publish the results obtained in teaching innovation in different projects in higher education techniques in Natural History issues.
- Generate/Promote forums to discuss teaching experiences
- Identify priorities and perspectives in forthcoming teaching innovations in this area
- Establish communication channels for future collaborations among departments and/or universities in order to share and establish common procedures for innovation in education techniques
